I’ve got some great news to tell you, because I’ve made a decision: I’m going on a BIG adventure. Just a few days ago I’ve booked my ticket to the other side of the world to travel for how long I want to. Let me tell you my plan!
It’s good to know that I’m living in the Netherlands, so no… Europe is not the other side of the world for me. I’ve booked my ticket to… Central America! To Nicaragua actually. My ticket was really, really cheap so I couldn’t say no to it. And my idea was to begin the big trip in South America, so Nicaragua is nearby. But I have to wait for a while, because I’ll start the trip in April 2018, less than 8 months from now on.
My travel plan
The offer was for a roundtrip only, so I already have my ticket back home, but I’m not gonna take it. It’s for two months only but that’s way too short for me. So I’ll take the ticket to Nicaragua and just see when I want to come back. I’m going with my boyfriend who booked the same ticket and we’re going to explore Nicaragua first. We’re going to Nicaragua this November as well, so we only want to see the places we can’t see in November. And then we’re off to Costa Rica. I’ve never thought I would go there in the upcoming years but it’s official now. Can’t wait for some cool jungle trekkings and to see all the animals and the beautiful nature. After that we’ll go to Panama to explore that country and hopefully the San Blas islands. And then we don’t know where to go. We still don’t know for 100% if this is the plan we’re going for but it’s very likely that this is the route.
Central America to South America
I really wanna go to Jamaica as well but the tickets are very expensive so I’ll decide on the way if I’m going there or not, but one thing is for sure: I’m going to South America! Here I’ll start in Colombia and I’ll take it from there. How long I’ll be on the road and where I’m going is not sure. Money is important of course, so I need so save as much as I can before I go. And hopefully I can earn some money on the way.
Learning Spanish
It has always been my dream to learn Spanish, so this is a great opportunity to start learning this language. I’m probably going to school in South America so I’m very excited about that.
The next few months
I need to save a lot of money for the next couple of months, but I don’t have a plan yet. So I need to figure out how much money I want to have by the end of March to know how much I can spend in these 8 months. And I need to figure out what I want to do with my house. But I also have a some awesome trips coming up: a citytrip to Lille in France, a roadtrip through California, a couple of days in Germany and a week in Nicaragua. Can’t wait!
I’ll keep you updated about my trip and my preparations! And if you have any tips… just let me know!
