2017 is almost over so it’s time to look back on my trips of last year. Where did I go and what did I do? I’ll tell you that in this article. Enjoy!
January: citytrip Prague
I wanted to go to Prague for years, but my boyfriend didn’t want to go and my friends had already been there or they didn’t had the money to go on a citytrip. So I wanted to go by myself, but I was too afraid to go solo. Until I realized that I wanted to give a citytrip to my boyfriend for his birthday and I decided to book Prague. And I loved it! It is such a beautiful city and I really wanna go back during the summer days.
March and April: New Zealand
I didn’t go on a trip in February, because I had to save money for my roadtrip through New Zealand. I didn’t plan on going here, but the ticket was so cheap that I couldn’t say no to it. I traveled through the Southern Island and the Northern Island for a month and it was amazing. The nature is so beautiful and the activities are so much fun. I really wanna to go back in ten years to see the rest of this stunning country.
June: Naples and the Amalfi Coast
The sun started to shine more, the temperature was a bit higher and the summer was right around the corner, so I wanted to go to Italy (one of my favorite countries for sure). I booked a ticket to Naples but the Amalfi Coast is so close to Naples that I decided to combine those two. And it was great! Naples is a lovely city and the Amalfi Coast is just so colorful and beautiful. Definitely a getaway that I would recommend if you live in Europe!
July: Liverpool, hitchhike from Amsterdam to Barcelona & Ibiza
July was a busy month, because I traveled three times! The first trip was a citytrip Liverpool in England, which was a nice surprise. I went to Liverpool with my best friends and I had a really good time. The second trip was a special one, because I hitchhiked from Amsterdam to Barcelona with a friend of mine. We entered a contest where we had to hitchhike from Amsterdam to Barcelona in 6 days and every day we had to be at a certain camping where we stayed the night. We didn’t win, but I will never forget this trip. The last one was a weekend to Ibiza with my colleagues. We wanted to go on a trip together for some team building. It was a good trip for some teambuilding!
August: citytrip Lille in France
The north of France is pretty close to Amsterdam so when I saw a cheap train ticket, I immediately booked it. Lille is a beautiful city with old houses, great architecture, a lovely vibe and good food. My boyfriend and I spent two nights in Lille and it’s definitely a city to put on the bucketlist if you want to go away for the weekend.
September and October: roadtrip USA
In September it was time for a big trip again, this time to the USA! To four states actually: Arizona, California, Utah and Nevada. I traveled with my parents for three weeks and it was so good. I had not traveled with my parents in years so it was really fun to go on a trip with them. USA surprised me a lot, especially the nature. I loved all the national parks, especially Bryce, Zion and Yosemite!
November: roadtrip Nicaragua
In November it was time to go to Nicaragua. My return flight from Amsterdam to Nicaragua costed 175 dollars only so I really had to take it. And it was such a special trip! I slept in the most beautiful eco houses and it was just too good to be true. This became one of my favorite countries so far and I can’t wait to go back in April!
December: Germany
Every year, since I’m a baby, I celebrate Christmas in the mountains with a big group of friends. We always go to Germany or Belgium and this year we’re going to Germany again. For a whole week we play games, we drink a lot of beer and wine, we party all night long, we eat a lot, we hike in the mountains and that’s about it. Love it, can’t wait!
My travel plans for 2018?
Do I have travel plans for 2018? Yes I do, a lot! In January I’m going away for the weekend with my boyfriend in the middle of the nature in Holland. Just to relax and do nothing. At the end of January I’m going to NEW YORK CITY! So excited! And then, in April, I’m going on a big adventure. You can read everything about my big trip in this article.
What about you? Do you have some cool travel plans for 2018? Let me know in a comment, love to hear that!
